Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) is a major serum lipoprotein of 34.2 kDa secreted by many cells such as macrophages and adrenals of kidneys, but mainly synthesized by liver [1], ApoE is incorporated into lipoproteins and directs their catabolism via binding to receptors [2]. Among several allelic variants of ApoE, the lipoproteins E2, E3 and E4 are most common.
