Proving that Western sanctions against Moscow haven't closed the door on foreign companies operating in Russia, statecontrolled Rosneft is moving forward with its pursuit of hard-to-recover resources with international partners Statoil and BP. Russia's biggest oil producer said Tuesday that--together with Statoil--it had commenced testing of two wells drilled last year in the PK1 layer of high-viscosity crude at the Severo (North)-Komsomolskoye field in West Siberia's Yamal-Nenets autonomous district.
