Bulgaria Remains Hopeful on Gas Hub Ambition

Bulgaria welcomed the renovation of a major gas compression station outside the capital of Sofia on Tuesday, part of a series of infrastructure upgrades the Balkan country is making in a bid to become a gas hub for southeastern Europe. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, speaking at the ceremony at Ihtiman station, said such infrastructure investments strengthen Bulgaria's hand while lobbying for the hub's creation in Brussels (IOD Feb.10'15).
