Kazmunaigas Nearly Doubles Profits

Kazakh national oil company Kazmunaigas (KMG) said Monday it made a consolidated profit of 284 billion tenge ($1.93 billion) in 2010 - nearly double the 148 billion tenge recorded in 2009 - after production, refin- ing and transport volumes were all up on tar- get. Revenues climbed by 15% to 2.3 trillion tenge, according to preliminary unaudited da- ta, some 10% higher than planned.
