South Koreans Gain Priority Access to Iraqi Oil in Emergencies

In a bid to ensure security of oil supply, South Korea has inked a deal with Baghdad giving it priority access to at least 250,000 barrels per day of Iraqi crude in an emergency, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) said Thursday. The volume is equivalent to around 10% of Korea's crude oil imports.
