Exxon, TransCanada See LNG as Possible Savior of Alaska Gas Line

The TransCanada-Exxon Mobil natural gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope to the British Columbia-Alberta border is pushing ahead with its regulatory agenda although it still has no committed shippers, TransCana-da Vice President Tony Palmer told an Alaska state senate committee last week. Discussions have continued with all gas resource-holders on the North Slope, but so far for naught, Palmer told the Alaska Senate Resources Committee. "If customers are out there today who want to make a late bid and sign contracts with us, we're open to reviewing that," he testified.
