Petrovietnam says it submitted an offer thisweek to buy all of US major ConocoPhillips’energy assets in Vietnam and boost its domes-tic output. If its bid is successful, the firm willborrow from domestic and internationalbanks to fund part of the purchase, Bloomberg quoted Deputy Chief ExecutiveNguyen Tien Dung as saying. He declined todivulge the value of the bid, but said “we willnot buy them at any cost.” The rest of the bidcould be funded out of earnings, Chief Execu-tive Do Van Hau reportedly said.
