Korea-Uzbek JV Eyes Loan

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is reportedly considering providing loans and loan guarantees totaling $400 million to 50-50 Uzbek-Korean venture UzKor Gas-Chemical for the planned Ustyurt gas-chemical complex in Uzbekistan. The loan would total $125 million and the political risk guarantees for commercial funding $275 million, the bank said, adding that its board will consider the plan in early 2012.
