Germany's RWE Group is chasing an exploration block in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan that was abandoned five years ago by Exxon Mobil. RWE signed a memorandum of understanding with Azeri state oil and gas company Socar on Tuesday to draw up an exploration, development and production sharing agreement for the Nakhichevan Block.
