Heinz Gunther Viehe (1929-2010)

Heinz Gunther Viehe, Emeritus Professor at the Universite Calholique... de Louvain (Belgium), passed away peacefully at his home of Beersel on October 2, 2010 at the age of 81. For almost 20 vears, he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease and was confined to his house. He will be remembered as a master of the art of organic synthesis and a world-leading figure in synthetic methods.
