Following a price slump which intensified with recent financial market volatility, the copper market has started to stabilise. While the negative impact the withdrawal of monetary easing in the U.S and the Chinese credit crunch have now been felt, sluggish physical demand will continue to curb the upward direction for copper prices in the next couple of months, especially as we are in the traditional low season for copper consumption.
