Optimization of composing the curricula in higher education institutions. Statement of the problem

Mathematical definition of the problem of curriculum synthesis for a given set of academic discipline sections, is represented. Every section of academic discipline is considered as an object with given parameters. The task of synthesis is todetermine a subset of sections included into the curriculum. Three criteria valid for curriculum optimization are proposed.
