Chromosomes of Callaspidia defonscolombei (Hymenoptera, Figitidae)

Chromosomes of the figitid Callaspidia defonscolombei Dahlbom (Cynipoidea) were studied for the first time. Eleven bivalents were observed in this species during meiosis (n = 11 ); three of them have chiasmata in each of the two arms forming ring-like figures in diplotene. The remaining bivalents are cross- and rod-like, having only one chiasma per bivalent.
