日本產南方系ホンダクう属14回目：ヒイうキモクとなっな日本產Sargassum ilicifolium

摘要

Sargassum ilicifolium (Turner) C. Agardh recorded firstly based on the specimen collected from Indonesia is distributed over the world around the neighborhood of equator. This species is characterized by:1)discoid and scutellate holdfast, and terete stem with smooth surface; 2) terete or slightly compressed main branch; 3)lanceolate, oblanceolate and ovate leaves, with single or double dentate margin on the top of the leaf; 4) spherical vesicles with short stalk and 5) dioecious receptacles. Japanese name of this species has been proposed as the Hiiragi-moku.
