摘要

The strategy in the design of forging operations is to identify critical areas in production processes, minimise the damage by altering influencing parameters and thus optimise the process before costly tools are manufactured. The basic model assumptions of the MES are reviewed and it's application on the FE-simulation of two cold and one semi-hot forging process is demonstrated.
