Abstract Nd:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy is the commonest procedurefor posterior capsule thickening following cataract surgery. Complicationsfollowing this laser surgery are relatively few, and this is ordinarilya safe and effective procedure. Herein a case is described of suprachoroidalhaemorrhage following Nd:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy. To thebest of the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of this complication.Patients undergoing this procedure should be warned of this rarebut potentially devastating complication.
