In January, distributors of Zaporizhstal.s products have lifted prices for uncoated flats by 2.5% due to a hike in export market quotations. Domestic prices for flats from Ilyich have stayed steady. The influence of an upward price trend in export markets on the domestic market of uncoated flats is intensifying. Last month, FOB-prices for HR coils at the Black Sea ports jumped by $90/t to $680-700/t due to much stronger demand from the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
