In December, producers of coated steel products have cut domestic prices by 4% due to tougher competition. Lower production rates and so increased competition have become the main reasons for adjustment of domestic galvanized steel quotations this month. MMK and NLMK have run their galvanized lines at lower rates of 69% and 80% respectively, and Severstal . at 73%.
