Prices may rise substantially

Prices for Ukrainian sheets have risen by 2% in June, those for plate have stayed unchanged. The main reason behind the increase is improved export markets amid recovering demand from domestic buyers. Favourable situation in export markets allowed Ukrainian HRC suppliers to raise prices for July rolling by an average of $30/t to $690-700/t FOB Black Sea. Export quotations of HR sheet are equal to domestic ones. On EXW comparison basis, the difference does not exceed $5-10/t.
