In September, Ilyich has raised domestic prices for galvanized steel products by 3-4% on more expensive CR sheets and seasonally strong demand. Ukrainian consumers keep stepping up purchases, and supply of galvanized steel products has become tight in the home market. In August, apparent consumption of this commodity amounted to 37,000 t, 4% more than a month before. Consumer demand for coated steel products is likely to keep high until mid-Q4 and start slackening by 10-15% in December . during the off-season, customers will be curtailing purchases in an attempt to avoid overstocking.
