Prices to go down in December

Thanks to strong domestic and export demand seen in October, Ukrainianproducers of galvanized flats have no need to cut prices.This month, Ukrainian consumers show rather strong demand for galvanizedproducts. In September, the apparent consumption increased to 65,000 t, up 8%from August, due to improved construction activity. The growth was securedmainly by Ilyich that raised domestic deliveries by 19% from August. In late2010, demand for coated products is expected to weaken because of aseasonal slowdown in consuming industries.
