A portable instrument for temperature inversion studies

摘要

The atmospheric vertical temperature profile is one of the significant micrometeorological parameter, which ahs direct bearing on dispersion of air pollutants in ambient air quality. If inversion conditions prevailed, the vertical mixing of air pollutants is minimized and the pollutant concentration gets accumulated, which is harmful to human health. To control this phenomenon, the Temperature lapse rate (TLR) must be monitored and studied. An attempt has been made to design, develop and prepare a prototype of field unit to be used for continuous monitoring of inversion conditions.
