摘要

This paper presents a geometric design algorithm and mathematical model of cycloid drives with two-tooth difference on hyperboloid tooth profiles. The required theories for this design are principle of coordinate transformation, conjugate surfaces, and envelope theory. By applying these principles and specifying a desired speed ratio, a set of values of design parameters for a cycloid drive with one or two tooth difference on hyperboloid tooth profiles can be obtained. Based on these results, its corresponding solid modeling is constructed using CAD software called Pro/ENGINEER. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm and model can be verified using four design examples. Furthermore, they can be a useful reference for a design case on other tooth profiles.
