POLLEN MORPHOLOGY OF SEVEN SPECIES OF ALOCASIA DON (ARACEAE)

摘要

The pollen morphology of seven species of Alocasia were examined using light and scanning electron microscope. The pollen grains are inaperturate in all the species, but exine ornamentation varies from spinate to netted reticulate. The pollen types atthe species level, recognised on the basis of exine ornamentation appear to be of taxonomic and evolutionary significance in the genus.
