摘要

The survey of atmospheric microbes was carried out for two years (1994 and 1995) at two different sites in the Churu district. The microbes were trapped by the gravity slide technique using the standard sampling device. Atmospheric pollen were categorised into 53 groups. The grains of Poaceae, Chenopod-Amaranthus and Cyperaceae were guile abundant in the atmosphere in both the years. The maximum concentration of pollen was recorded for the month of September and minimum for the month of June. The total percentage catch of pollen for both the years for weeds and cultivated herbs and qrasses is much more than trees and shrubs; for anemophilous is much more than entomopnilous and amphiphilous and for dicots is higher than monocots. An artificial key for identification of air borne pollen is also provided.
