Comment on 'Hymen-sparing surgery for imperforate hymen: case reports and review of literature' by Basaran et al.

摘要

We have read the publication by Basaran et al.in the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Imperfo-rate hymen, as stated in the article, is the most common obstructive anomaly of the female genital tract and usually occurs because the vaginal plate has not canalized during fetal development.
