A special issue on hybrid and reactive separations

摘要

Process integration is one of the most powerful approaches in the toolbox of process intensification. Integrated processes tackle the fundamental objective of devising more efficient production processes by combining rather different functionalities - for example separation and reaction tasks - within a single apparatus, or as closely interconnected units with additional recycles of matter and/or energy. In this way they achieve a superior performance that could be not reached if individual unit operations are designed and operated separately.
