The Classification of Colorful-leaf Tree Species and the Application in Landscape Architecture

This paper summarized the classification of colorful tree species and the application principles on landscape architecture and briefly introduced the present application situation of colorful tree species in China. It also raised suggestions related to the introduction and application of the colorful tree species. With the development of urban landscape architecture and the raising of aesthetic level, the demand to tree color in urban landscape architecture of people are more and more higher. Some colorful tree species have been started to apply in urban landscape architecture. Due to unique color of leaves, longer ornamental duration, and the colorful trees are easy to form large color landscape. They can enrich the landscape level, make up the urban color monotony and seasonal transformation absence. Now, in China, the application of colorful tree species is getting more and more widespread in landscape architecture. This paper summarized the classification, the introduction and the landscape architecture application situation of colorful tree species and raised some proposals according to the problems which existed in landscape architecture application.
