The book treats this rather complex and yet not entirely quantified (i.e. the theory is yet imperfect) subject in an intelligible manner. It has lots of historical and background details that help the reader contextualise the subject matter and, in particular, more recent developments made by the authors on the theory of diffuse reflection.
