Major Changes at Coal Pren Perhaps? Coal Prep Society Comes of Age

This year, at the Coal Prep 2010 Conference and Exhibition, the not-so-fledging Coal Preparation Society of America (CPSA) is making its presence felt in a number of significant ways, one of which perhaps may extend well beyond what might have been anticipated. "To begin with," offered Mel Laurila, president of Quality Control, Inc. and out-going CPSA president, "we have the International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) being held concurrent with Coal Prep. As the US arm of ICPC, CPSA is responsible for organizing both the complete technical program and the social program, a considerable undertaking."
