Achromatic polarization fixer

摘要

We present a design for a simple passive device that operates over a broad range of wavelengths to produce linearly polarized light, with a fixed axis of polarization, and constant amplitude, from a linearly polarized input whose axis of polarization may take any orientation. We show that this device also provides a significant degree of compensation when the input is elliptically polarized.
