Pepper conference Tackles phytophthora problems

"Think global, but breed local" was keynoter Paul Bosland's message, and it resonated throughout the balance of the 19th International Pepper Conference. The intensive day-long sessions, held Sept. 8 in Atlantic City, N.J., attracted over 100 breedersand researchers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Korea, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa and Sweden. A significant number of the attendees are notables in Capsicum spp. research.
