摘要

A numerical study is performed on double diffusive free convection blowing in a vertical porous enclosure when the temperature and concentration gradients are imposed in the horizontal direction. A finite difference implicit algorithm is adopted to solve the nonlinear momentum equation coupled with the energy and concentration equations. A comparison of numerically calculated result for thermal buoyancy agrees well with published data. The results of heat and mass transfer are presented for both aiding and opposing buoyancies, for the wide range of physical parameters involved in the problem.
