摘要

A heat transfer model is proposed in which transient two-dimensional heat conduction equation is solved taking into account the time-wise thinning of the macrolayer. It is concluded that the heat transfer by conduction through the macrolayer and resultant evaporation of macrolayer at the liquid-vapour interface takes place near the critical heat flux while at lower heat flux evaporation of macrolayer takes place at the bottom of the vapour stems at the liquid-vapour-solid contact point.
