Australian coking coal still in no demand

In the first half of the week Australian coking coal market sees low business activity. Demand is still weak, as steelmakers are uninterested in additional volumes and continue to use the material stockpiled earlier. Besides, consumers refuse to buy expensive coal in view of falling finished product quotations. Coal exporters, however, are not in a hurry to give discounts, as most of them have already sold their main volumes. Premium-quality material is offered at $172- 175/t FOB Gladstone, as before.
