Turkish longs exporters lift prices

In response to large purchases of scrap at higher prices, Turkish exporters of longs and square billet have pushed up offers at the end of the week. Besides, exporters are backed by firm demand at home. At the same time, export buying activity remains generally low. Prices for rebar with August shipment have increased by $5-10/t in a week, to $580-590/t FOB. Discounts of some $5/t can be granted while closing deals, buy-side sources think.
