When I ask restorers and cleaners which specific disinfectant they typically use or prefer, I'm immediately greeted with the trade, brand, or product name. That's fine for the distributors, suppliers or manufacturers, but it's time we learned the biocide technology by product chemistry. The reason for using any biocide, whether a bacteriocide, fungicide, virucide, algicide or insecticide, is to produce a marked reduction in the life of microbes or organisms one wishes to eliminate.
