There are many diverse machines structured by using precision mechanisms, and they include information systems, business use systems, domestic electric appliances, measuring apparatuses, and so on. The miniaturization, a weight reduction, the maintenance-free operation for a long time period, and a cost reduction of the above machines require the application of numerous oilless bearings. In the present work, the present state of such oilless bearings, requirements to recent oilless bearings, instances of their application, and their possible applications in the light of recent technological developments are considered.
