摘要

The comparison of friction characteristics obtained under steady-sliding conditions at a velocity exceeding 10{sup}(-4) mm/s with friction characteristics in the region of velocities established during testing for creep in the tangential direction allowed the following conclusions. The coefficient of friction-velocity of sliding (μ-V) characteristics determined by changing the temperature of the sliding surface, the type of used lubricating oil, and the type of friction materials conform to the tangential force coefficient-velocity of sliding (φ-V) characteristics established in creep tests performed under the same conditions. Consequently, the friction characteristics obtained by creep tests are representational forμ-V characteristics in the region of minimal velocities of sliding and friction characteristics established by both methods of testing are of the same order.
