Shuffler, a doctoral candidate in Psychology with the Institute for Simulation and Training at University of Central Florida, said that it is possible to work out better ways to make teams work, based on her research with the US army, US military, aviation and medical industries. "We are we focusing on teams because teams are becoming a prevalent way to operate," she said. "The complex demands and tasks can't be accomplished by single individuals. But teams don't always work, there can be problems with trust and conflict. What we can do to make teams more effective? We know that the teams process is a determinant of effective outcomes."
