As I write this today, Boeing and GE aircraft engines have set a new record by flying a Boeing 777-200LR with a new GE 90-115B engine from Hong Kong, over North America and on to London. 12,000 miles in 23 hours non-stop! This is a new aviation milestone. Maybe some ambitious group will bring back a supersonic aircraft.
