In this interesting article, the authors present an objective and reproducible method for measurement of bite force before and after botulinum toxin (BTX-A) for masseteric hypertrophy. Maximum reduction in bite force was 20%, observed 2 weeks after the first and 6 weeks after a second (booster) injection that was performed 18 weeks after the initial one. The recovery pattern was similar after the two treatments, with complete return of baseline values after 12 weeks. Masseteric enlarged mass was not measured in any moment.
