Delargoniums, often known as scented geraniums, are a genus of flowering plants that are commonly confused with true geraniums and are frequently referred to in summer bedding displays. In fact, the genus consists of 230 species of perennials, succulents and shrubs, while Geranium is the botanical name of a genus of related plants known as cranesbills. Pelargoniums originate from South Afs ica where they grow in a variety of habitats from mountains to deserts.
