Climate change

The case for parks and green spaces is stronger today than it has been for 200 years, according to John Handley, professor of land restoration and management at the University of Manchester. In the early 19th century, when urban areas were first forming, parks were recognised as having enormous value in terms of health and recreation. Now what used to be a tentative view has turned into a solid conviction -that urban green spaces have a key role in helping us adapt to climate change.
