Brief: U.S. Electric Companies Join Auto Research Org

U.S. utility companies DTE Energy and Southern California Edison became partners in an auto technology program sponsored by the United States Council for Automotive Research (USCAR). USCAR's program, the FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership, researches on plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as technologies such as hybrid-electric vehicles, advanced gasoline and clean diesel engines, hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines and fuel cells, and biofuels-powered vehicles.
