According to Sandy Fielden of RBN Energy, "die conventional wisdom" has been that Canadian condensate output would shortly hit a peak of about 140K b/d and maintain that level for about four years. As a result, due to demand for lightweight material to use as diluent to allow highly viscous oil sands crude to flow tiirough pipelines, Canadian imports of US plant condensate (also called natural gasoline) have been expected to grow from about 150K b/d in 2013 to 460K b/d in 2018.
