Brazil, Bolivia Meet

Officials from Brazil and Bolivia are due to meet Apr. 10 on a Brazilian request to add flexibility to the take-or-pay provisions of contracts for gas transported through the Bolivia-to-Brazil (Gasbol) pipeline. Demand for gas in Brazil has not lived up to expectations that were formulated when a severe drought drained the country of the cheaper hydroelectricity on which it normally depends for 90% of electricity generation.
