Pharmaceuticals were one of the major medical success stories of the last century - for every ill,we now have a pill.We rush to the doctor for the latest wonder drug or to the pharmacist for a painkiller;we feed antibiotics to our farm animals;and we keep our crops perfect by spraying them with antimicrobials.However,it is now becoming increasingly obvious that the widespread use of Pharmaceuticals is increasing the dangerfor the population at large who receive them second hand as water and food contaminants.Tony Hardware * reports.
