The highly economical Polo BlueMotion is the vanguard of a new range of fuel-efficient models. VOLKSWAGEN recently invited the press to the Science Park in Valencia, Spain, to preview and test-drive its new technologies for economical engines of the future, including hybrids, fuel cells and the new CCS hybrid combustion engine. We'll be taking a detailed look at all these options in future issues, but in many ways the most interesting vehicle available for test-driving was the Polo BlueMotion. Not just a promise for the future, it is a simple and effective answer to the requirements for improved fuel economy and lower emissions, and it is available here and now, at an affordable price.
