When a person's safety is at stake, you must do what's right - and not just what they ask you to do. I'd tell someone who could help her, whether it's the boss or a professional counselor. The fact that she confided in me in the first place suggests that she wants my help. Perhaps keeping all controlled drugs in a secured box is best until she is doing better.
